Irish come to Holland

 Monday, 14th of March,

Today the Irish students would arrive on Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. Veronica de Ruijter and Wim de Bruin picked them up and brought them to our school where we met them for the first time. At first we were both very shy but once we talked a little we got to know each other better. My parther is Jack Ring, he’s 16 years old and goes to the gym quite often.  He hangs around a lot and meets up with his friends. After a while we heard the dutch people had to show them our school. As assignment we had to make a picture with the listed things. A picture with the school’s statue and on the pictures atleast 3 of us had to be on it. All of this was quite boring and in the afternoon we were free to go. Jack got a lift home by one of my friends’ parents and I cycled home. I showed Jack my house and his room and then we went outside and hung around.

Tuesday, 15th of March,

Today we went to Rotterdam and The Hague, first to Rotterdam. In Rotterdam we went on a boat tour through the harbour, it was pretty boring but we didn’t have to listen to the tour guide at all. Once we finish the boat tour we had an hour spare time and went to the shopping center. Billy bought a new cap and we had lunch at the MacDonald. At 12 o’clock we went to The Hague

Ireland exchange

Hi there,

We are Judith & Cleo and we’re from Holland. We’ve been now for like  one and a half day in Ireland. Some first impressions: hills, rain, big houses, forests, green landscape, small highways, small classroom and last but not least very polite and nice people.

Yesterday we arrived in cork after a short flight and we went to school. We had a small tour trough the school and it looked really old and quite big. After that we went to  Cork with the doubledecker. We had some free time to walk around and have a lunch. Than we went on a tour in the doubledecker and we saw whole Cork. It was really nice.

Holland Exchange

The Ty of 10-11 went on a dutch exchange to Holland in March of this year. We all had to submit a letter expaining why we wanted to go on the exchange . We travelled on the 14rd of March and returned on the 18th. We spent a day in Rotterdam and the Hague along with other activities such as the beach and rock climbing. The dutch traveled to Ireland on the 28th of March and are returning on the 1st of April. Mr Garry and Ms Garry attended us on the trip. Everybody involved  really enjoyed our  trip over and hope to make the rest of their trip a good one! (:
